Etiquette With Good Deeds

Monumental spiritual works, when performed without adab (etiquette), are nothing. You can build the biggest mosque or the most beautiful school, but if you do that without adab, beware. They are like mere mirages in a waterless desert.

And the most modest spiritual works, the most humble spiritual deeds we must do, when done with adab, are everything. And they are monumental deeds, like life-giving oases that we find in the middle of the desert that save our lives and bring us to life.
