Five Du’as For the Seeker of Knowledge

الحَمْدُ لِلهِ وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

All praise belongs to Allah, and good prayers and peace be upon the messenger of Allah.

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ

(Qur’an 2:32) Glory to you! We have no knowledge except what you have taught us. No doubt, you are the All-Knowing, All-Wise.

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

(Qur’an 20:114) My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

(Ibn Majah) O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لاَ يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لاَ يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لاَ تَشْبَعُ وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لاَ يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا

(Sahih Muslim) Oh Allah, I seek refuge with you from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart which is not humble, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a du’a that is not answered.
